Welcome to x3event.com, the official website for the X3 Global Summit. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website and its related services. You agree to be bound by these Terms by accessing or using the website.

1. Use of the Website

x3event.com is intended to provide information about and facilitate registration for the X3 Global Summit, an industry event focused on innovation and technology. The website does not support user accounts or user-generated content.

We actively encourage tweeting, blogging, and sharing photos and videos of our Event.  

Whilst we ensure that the Content is accurate and complete, much of it is supplied by third parties, and we cannot check and do not warrant its accuracy or completeness.  All Content is provided on an “as is” basis without any warranties of any kind (express or implied).  We hereby exclude to the fullest extent permitted by law all liabilities, costs, claims, damages, losses and/or expenses arising from any inaccuracy or omission in the Content or arising from any infringing, defamatory, or otherwise unlawful material in the Content.  

To the extent that any Content is made available by us online, we reserve the right to suspend or remove access to such Content at any time.

2. Event Registration and Participation

  • Registration: To register for the X3 Global Summit, participants must complete the registration process and agree to these Terms. Ticket prices will be clearly marked on the ticketing site.  

    • General Participants are individuals, founders, industry professionals and other enthusiasts interested in joining the summit.

    • Growth Investors are venture capital, private equity, family offices, corporate investment funds and other later-stage investors.

    • Scaling Companies are later-stage, growth tech companies in the areas of wealth, health and environment sectors. Included are two passes and a pod.

    • Professional Services are individuals or organisations providing services to the sector that would like to join.

  • Refunds and Cancellations: All purchases of tickets for conferences and events are non-refundable. 

  • Reassignment: Reassignment of tickets from one attendee to another will be permitted by contacting us free of charge up to 14 days prior to the commencement of the event. No reassignments will be allowed after 14 days prior to the commencement of the event.

  • Reselling: You cannot resell a ticket.  This includes tickets purchased at any price point or allocated through a sponsorship.  Doing so will void the ticket, and neither the ticket’s original purchaser nor the subsequent ticket holder will gain entry to the event, and no refund will be issued to either party.

  • Ticket Assignment: All tickets must be assigned to an attendee, and all attendee details must be 100% complete within 30 days of receipt of your ticket.  This includes name, job title, company name, and email.

  • Free and Subsidised Tickets: In certain cases, free or subsidised tickets may be offered within 30 days of the event start date.  In these instances, tickets must be assigned within 7 days of receipt of your ticket in accordance with the details provided in the above paragraph.  If you have secured a free or subsidised ticket but have already bought one, you are not eligible for a refund.

  • Code of Conduct: Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a professional manner throughout the event.

3. Intellectual Property

All content displayed on x3event.com, including text, graphics, logos, images, and videos, is owned by X3 Event Ltd or its content suppliers and is protected by international copyright and intellectual property laws.

4. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms will be resolved through arbitration in accordance with the laws of Scotland.

5. Accessibility

We endeavour to make our conferences and events accessible to all.  If you have special access requirements, please contact us when you register, and we will work to best accommodate you.  

6. Commercial Activities

Commercial transactions, including ticket sales for events, are subject to these Terms. Details regarding payment, refunds, and cancellations are provided during registration.

7. Changes to the Services

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the service (or any part thereof) with or without notice. Changes to the service will be communicated to users via email.

8. Code of Conduct

We reserve the right to refuse or revoke admission to any event or conference for any breach of these Terms and Conditions, or for breach of our Code of Conduct (available on our website).  If we refuse or revoke admission to any event or conference due to a breach by the attendee, the ticket purchase price will be forfeited. 

9. Event Cancellation, Postponement & Substitution Policy

We are not responsible for any loss or damage due to a substitution, alteration, cancellation, amendment or postponement of an event. 

We shall assume no liability whatsoever if an event is cancelled, rescheduled or postponed due to any event beyond our reasonable control, including war, fire, labour strike, extreme weather, pandemic, terrorist threats or other emergency.

In the unlikely circumstances that we cancel a conference or event, our liability is limited to the share of paid registration fees that remain after credit card and payment processing fees have been incurred and deducted. 

If we cancel an event or conference, we will offer the purchaser of record a refund of the purchase price paid minus any processing fees. 

If our Event is postponed to a future date, all ticket holders will be notified of the amended dates and details via email and via the event website.

 If you are unable to attend on the amended dates, you can:

  • reassign your ticket to another person, or 

  • exchange the ticket for a credit for a future conference or event, up to the value of the amount paid, minus any discounts, for the original ticket (subject to availability).

10. Event Alterations & Substitutions

While the format, speakers, and topics for events are confirmed at the time of publishing, circumstances beyond the control of the organisers may necessitate substitutions, alterations or cancellations. As such, we reserve the right to alter or modify the advertised event format, speakers, venue, and topics if necessary without any liability to you whatsoever. Any substitutions or alterations will be updated on our website as soon as practical.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

12. Modifications to the Terms

We reserve the right to update or change our Terms at any time. Changes to the Terms will be communicated to users via email.

12. General Clauses

We shall be entitled to delegate the duties and provisions of our obligations under these Terms and Conditions.

No other terms shall apply to these Terms and Conditions. This document contains the terms and conditions and understanding between us regarding all matters referred to herein and supersedes any prior, written or oral agreement between us relating to such matters. You confirm that in agreeing to accept these terms, you have not relied on any representation that is not expressly included herein, and you agree that you shall have no remedy in respect to any misrepresentation that has not become a part of these terms. However, nothing in these terms purports to exclude liability for any fraudulent statement or act.

If any part of the terms herein shall be deemed unlawful, void, or unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from these terms and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any of the remaining provisions of the terms.

13. Limited Liability 

Our aggregate liability to you, whether such liability arises in contract, delict (including negligence) or otherwise, for any damages, loss, costs, claims or expenses of any kind, howsoever arising, out of in connection with any booking (or requested booking) made by you or otherwise in relation to a conference or event, shall be limited to the price paid by you in respect for your booking to attend the conference. 

We shall not be liable to you for (i) any loss of profit, loss of or damage to data, loss of anticipated savings or interest, loss of or damage to reputation or goodwill or (ii) any indirect, special or consequential damages, loss, costs, claims or expenses of any kind.  

You agree to indemnify us, our staff and our affiliates and to hold us harmless to the fullest extent permitted by law against all loss, costs, claims or expenses of any kind arising from any act or omission by you (including your delegates) during or otherwise in relation to a conference.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall limit or exclude either party’s liability for death or personal injury caused by that party’s negligence, or the negligence of that party’s employees, agents, or subcontractors; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or any other liability which cannot be limited or excluded by applicable law.  

14. Indemnity

You agree to be fully responsible for (and fully indemnify us against) all claims, liability, damages, losses, costs and expenses, including legal fees, suffered by us and arising out of any breach of these terms and conditions by you or any other liabilities incurred by us arising out of your use of the website, or use by any other person accessing the website using your computer or internet access account.

15. Intellectual Property and Right to Use

You acknowledge and agree that all copyright, trademarks and all other intellectual property rights in all material or content contained within the website shall remain at all times owned by us or as stated in Clause 5. You are permitted to use this material only as expressly authorised by us. 

We reserve all rights not expressly granted to the website and the content on the website. 

16. Law and Jurisdiction

Scots law governs these terms and conditions, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish Courts.
